Yet again we had the pleasure to arrange a meeting between our students and Akashamitra, the programme manager of the Karuna Trust as well as with Dhammamitra Erik Westrup (software engineer). Akashamitra has been visiting our centre regularly for several years and is a close friend and support for us.
Both of our guests held inspirational and motivational talk to our students to motivate them to study, and create their own IT career. The talks covered topics as “what are the real motivations behind getting a job” with answers like security, a quality life, personality development etc. to raise the awareness on what our real goal is. Our students got advice from our guest IT experience in mastering the basics very well to build a solid foundation, to adopt an attitude of continuous learning, and to cultivate friendships (not just as a means to an and but an end in itself).
Our students were listening with excitement and tuning in to the advice and inspiration given. It was clear that it was exciting for them to have this interaction with our guests.
We are always delighted in being able to put our students in contact with people from the industry and create a space for connection, learning and inspiration!
